Meet the Robinsons!

Early last week I got to spend some time at the Robinson's home and take a few pictures of them. This is my Pastor, his beautiful wife, and handsome -very active- little men. The youngest one little Michael just turned one, so it seemed like a perfect time for some family photos.
Here are just a few of them...

This first one is probably my favorite, when I got there he was eating lunch... or at least mom was trying to feed him, he was too distracted by the camera... my bad!

sweet boys!

Daddy and son.

Mommy and baby.

Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys!

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Today would have been my mom's 50th birthday and I so wish we could be celebrating today... miss you mom!!
Instead I thought I'd let you know about some of my favorite things to do with mom.

Of course Christmas is probably the #1, it was her favorite holiday and time of the year. She was amazing at making it such a special season... I don't ever remember her being a scrooge ha ha. She would decorate the whole house, she would set a date after thanksgiving for us to go pick a tree together and decorate it. She is the reason I am so particular about how the lights are hung on the tree, there is a method and everyone should follow it!! ;)
We opened our christmas gifts on christmas eve at midnight, so we would have dinner, play games, sing carols, read the christmas story and wait for midnight. It was always funny the years that she would forget to wrap a gift and we would be done opening presents and all of a sudden she would realize something was missing, she would run to her closet and come back with a store bag and say "oops! I forgot one."
We all like honey baked hams, so for christmas or thanksgiving she would go get one, than stop by La Madeline to get some tomato basil soup, yum!!

Another favorite spot to stop on our way home from running errands was Dairy Queen for a chocolate dipped cone.

Mom and I loved watching Hallmark movies... yes the ones my husband says are boring and sappy. She also loved watching wheel of fortune and most of the time she would figure out the phrase before the contestants.

She loved having people over for dinner, or lunch or even just to hang out. Our house was the hang out house for Beto and my friends, she always made everyone feel right at home.

Perhaps, the one thing she did the most, and I miss the most is she loved to give hugs... she gave the best hugs ever, and she gave them freely to anyone who needed or wanted one.

Love and miss you mom, and I could really use one of those amazing hugs right about now!

Been MIA...

I'm alive... I promise!
So, I've been a little busy the last few months and taken a little break from my blog. I could come up with excuses, or I can just tell you a little bit of what I've been up to.

For one, I've been growing a baby, and for all of you out there with kiddos, you know that's no easy task, but for me this second time around was a little more challenging. Keeping up with a toddler while slowly getting bigger and bigger can be quite interesting!

Of course there was also some celebrating and preparing for our little girl!

Our beautiful Sydney Marie was born October 20th at 11:40pm after a short 2 hr labor (yey!) weighing 9lbs 8oz and measuring 20.75 in. It was an amazing experience having a waterbirth, but I wont bore you with that :)

Of course the last two months have been about adjusting to a new baby, schedule and trying to get some sleep... not to mention all the holiday festivities.

So, that's been the last 4 months in a nutshell... I'll try to keep current now... Hope everyone is having a wonderful week as you prepare for Christmas and the beginning of this new 2010... Can you believe it!!! I still remember thinking how weird it would be to be in 2000! and now that is 10 years behind us! Wow, time flies by and that is why it's so wonderful to be able to capture a little moment in time with a photograph.

More soon...

Bunger Family

Love this family!! Christina is my "photo" friend. We both love hanging out and taking pictures, and talking photography.

We went out and did a shoot with her family a few months ago, but I never got around to posting them, so I thought now would be a good time.

The three of you look great, thanks for letting me take your pictures, I love you all!

Shelbi's Maternity Shoot

This week I was so happy to visit Shelbi at her home. She is 35 weeks pregnant and unfortunately on bed rest, thankfully she and baby Eliana are doing very good and she is looking stunning with her baby bump.
She was not able to get some preggo pictures before she was placed on bed rest, so we had a few pictures done in the comfort of her own home!
Shelbi you look beautiful, hope you like your pictures and can't wait to see your baby girl!

Sisters Photo Shoot

First off, I apologize I know I have been MIA here lately... I've been a little under the weather, but here I am. No mini-shoot last week, however I was behind on a shoot taken a couple of weeks ago, so I have some pictures to post.

My friend Christina and I spent a fun afternoon in Dallas a few weeks ago. Christina and I are "picture friends" at least that's what her little boy calls us. We enjoy taking pictures together and learning from one another, so she invited me to come along on this shoot.

We drove downtown... well I should say crazy driver Christina drove us down town, we were all excited and ready to find a good spot, when we realized that out of 5 girls in the vehicle, none of us had a single quarter or dollar for parking!! So we drove around a couple of times... I guess we were hoping to find some magical free parking spot LOL. Like that's going to happen in the middle of the week in downtown Dallas!! We eventually decided to stop at a 7Eleven to get some change and found a spot to park. It was a fun afternoon with lovely weather and great company. Thanks girls for letting me tag along, I had fun!

Here are a few of the pictures..

Mini-Shoot Featuring The Sippy Cup

So, I was wanting to take a different approach to my mini-shoot this week. I was thinking about what Vaughn does in this stage in his life, that I know won't last forever and I don't want to forget. There are so many things that come to mind, but one of the ones that I focused on today was something simple yet precious (at least to me it is), and that is the way he holds his sippy cup. He will carry that thing everywhere and will hold it like it's his most priced possession!
Hope you enjoy the pictures, I will probably be thinking of other little things like this to focus on in the next few mini-shoots. So if you know my child and can think of something let me know, I'll take ideas!!
Hope everyone is having a great week!
